The article is devoted to the study of the epic poem and the interpretation of mythological images in it . It is noted that the traditions of folk oral art, in particular myths, played an important role in the creation of the epic poem "Bahrom and Gulandom", and that the work reflects Saykali's poetic skills, the features inherent in classical literature, and the influence of written literary traditions . Saikali's epic poem "Bahrom and Gulandom" is written in verse. The main form of the masnavi is emphasized, the poet widely used other genres in the composition of the epic , and the presence of mythological images in "Bahrom and Gulandom" is considered to be a unique evidence that the traditions inherent in oral literature continued in Saikali's work .
